SAES

We've got great events coming up for members of SAES!

9/13 - ArcelorMittal is doing a plant tour for members of SAES! The bus will pick up students at 8am by the Engineering circle. They will drive to Burns Harbor, IN, eat lunch and tour the mill (around 3 hours) and will return to campus around 8 pm.

Just a little bit about ArcelorMittal: they are the world's number one steel and mining company, with around 246,000 employees in more than 60 countries. And even better, they are hiring both interns and full time, so this is a great opportunity for networking and to get to experience the plant before gallery!

RSVP by Thursday September 11th morning to Bill Sammon atwilliam.sammon@arcelormittal.com

9/19 - International Paper in Three Rivers, MI has organized a tour and is interested in AES students! The tour is of a corrugated box plant and participants will have the opportunity for Q&A with site leadership.

If interested, sumbit your resume with GPA to nancy.losher@ipaper.com. There is only 15 seats available, so make sure you don't miss out on this great opportunity!

9/20 - In addition to the plant tour, ArcelorMittal will also be hosting a tailgate for the football game vs. Eastern Michigan University. There is a picture attached for the location. Right now, there is not an exact start time for the tailgate, but will inform you all once we hear! They will be providing free food and hoping for a good amount of foot traffic! It's another great opportunity to network with ArcelorMittal, in addition to the plant tour.

9/22 -  Bosch will be in the Engineering lobby near Sparty's! They have invited SAES to stop by and check out their interactive display, network with Bosch associates and possibly win an iPad!

9/29 - Members of SAES have been invited to the Chicago Startup Job Fair at the University Conference Center. By registering for free on the website, job seekers from a variety of both technical and nontechnical backgrounds can gain access to thirty different Chicago based startups each offering full-time paid positions. The list of startup companies attending the job fair will be posted on the website two weeks prior to the date of the event.

These are all great opportunities, so take advantage of them!

Also, there is a schedule for SAES General Meetings for this semester, so make sure to check that out as well! More details will be sent about each meeting when it approaches, including the location!
